The Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving assigned sales and revenue goals for the Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena/Monrovia hotel. This role involves effectively soliciting and securing new business opportunities, growing existing relationships, and monitoring market trends to stay ahead of the competition.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales and revenue goals.
- Proactively conduct business development calls, sales tours, and client entertainment to secure new business opportunities.
- Grow existing relationships with key accounts and identify new business opportunities to increase revenue.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends to stay ahead of the competition and identify new business opportunities.
- Approach all interactions with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality's established regulations, company standards, sales standards, and sales metrics.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's operations and policies, as well as applicable departments.
- Maintain strong visibility in local business communities and industry organizations.
- Assist in implementing and participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as other functions required by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; previous hotel sales experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients.
- Experience with professional selling skills, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
- Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, with strong organization and presentation skills.
