About the Position

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (FTCH) is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, retail, and educational clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, access control, network, and instrumentation and control systems.
  • Develop construction documents, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct field investigations and gather data to support design and development of electrical systems.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Provide construction administration services, including site visits and observation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing electrical systems for industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, retail, and educational clients.
  • Knowledge of the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
  • Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or working towards licensure.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, International Building Codes, and Energy Codes.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, Microsoft Office products, Easy Power arc flash hazard analysis software, and lighting design software.
