Job Title: Professional Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer to join our design team at Meade Engineering, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations for various projects, including data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems and perform design calculations
  • Review, sign, and seal projects
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and prepare record drawings
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in commissioning work
  • Write and edit electrical equipment specifications, select equipment, and electrical systems and devices
  • Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry
  • Must hold a valid Electrical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects
  • Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff
  • Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems, including interactive generator controls systems
  • Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred
  • Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit
