Membership Service Representative II

At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we're seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Membership Service Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our membership operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, guests, and program participants.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, and program participants, ensuring a positive experience and promoting member retention.
- Welcome and engage with members as they enter and leave the YMCA, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Support membership operations by selling memberships and program offerings, ensuring a seamless experience for our members.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to respond to member inquiries and provide accurate information.
- Build strong relationships with members, volunteers, and collaborative partners, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Resolve membership concerns and escalate unusual situations or unresolved issues to supervisors.
- Maintain certifications in CPR/AED, Blood-borne Pathogens, branch orientation, and Branch Emergency procedures.
- Adhere to and implement all policies and procedures outlined in the training manual.
- Communicate effectively with members, guests, program participants, and volunteers, providing assistance as needed.
- Assist in the annual branch Why It Matters Campaign, achieving individual and team goals.
- Complete required SPIRIT trainings and apply SPIRIT according to established guidelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem-solve, and possess effective time management skills.
- Ability to attend, complete, and pass Point of Sale training.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle personal information about members with discretion.
- High degree of human relation skills, including effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Ability to establish, collaborate, and maintain relationships with staff, members, volunteers, schools, and the general public.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, either paid or volunteer.
- SPIRIT certification is a plus.
- Previous YMCA or non-profit experience is desirable.
