Position Overview

The University of St. Francis is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our counseling and wellness department, you will be responsible for scheduling meetings and programs for our five annual student engagement campaigns. This role requires strong leadership skills, professionalism, and the ability to network with campus and community partners to identify guest speakers. You will also be responsible for coordinating social media and in-person engagement for students, including screening, trainings, and presentations. Additionally, you will assist the Project Director and Project Co-Director in administering Healthy Minds Surveys to students and receive training in evidence-based cultural competency. If you have leadership experience, previous experience working with events, networking, and social media, and strong computer skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

* Schedules meetings and programs for the five annual student engagement campaigns
* Hosts the five meetings engaging campus clubs
* Networks with campus and community partners to identify guest speakers
* Coordinates social media and in-person engagement for students, including screening, trainings, and presentations
* Assists Project Director and Project Co-Director to administer Healthy Minds Surveys to students
* Receives training with evidence-based cultural competency trainings: Think Cultural Health and Vector Solutions trainings
* Partners with diversity-focused student clubs and University Ministry to build ongoing relationships around mental health
* Assists the Project Director and Project Co-Director in the collection of data for grant-reporting purposes
* HIPAA training required and will be provided
* Orders and maintains the supplies needed

Qualifications

* Currently a student at the University of St. Francis
* At least a 2.5 GPA
* Leadership experience that connects them with their peers
* Previous experience working with events, networking, and social media

Required Skills and Knowledge

* Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* The ability to pay close attention to detail
* The ability to use discretion and sound judgment
* Knowledge of social media platforms
