Job Description

This is a full-time, nine-month contract position responsible for teaching baccalaureate and graduate nursing courses, developing curriculum, and participating in scholarly endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, including simulation-based learning experiences
  • Contribute to the development and revision of nursing curriculum
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including research and publication
  • Mentor students in their academic and professional pursuits
  • Engage with colleagues and stakeholders to advance the field of nursing education

Requirements

  • DNP or Ph.D. in Nursing required
  • Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
  • Two years experience in clinical nursing practice
  • Evidence of self-development through continuing education and scholarly pursuit
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching baccalaureate and/or graduate nursing courses
  • Expertise in simulation-based learning and technology-enhanced education
  • Strong research background and publication record

Physical Requirements of Position

This is a sedentary role with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer, requiring sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
