Responsibilities:

The Engineering Project Manager will collaborate with teams to conceptualize and implement projects aimed at enhancing Safety, Quality, Cost Efficiency, and Maintenance Reliability. This role will be based in our facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prioritizing safety in all work undertaken.
  • Managing engineering projects, including manpower, budgets, schedules, equipment, and materials.
  • Facilitating project meetings and ensuring effective communication.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders to gather input and relay project plans.
  • Overseeing project scope, schedule, costs, and quality through proficient project management.
  • Selecting and managing equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Hiring and overseeing engineering consultants and construction contractors.
  • Staying informed about and evaluating suitable equipment and technology.
  • Specifying and designing food processing, packaging, and infrastructure systems.
  • Preparing necessary reports, including expenditure requests and monthly updates.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Providing construction and start-up management.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant engineering codes and regulations.
  • Reviewing ergonomics, safety requirements, and sanitation aspects of projects.
  • Actively participating in the engineering department to promote teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Delivering training and educational support across departments as needed.
  • Supervising project construction activities.
  • Sharing and implementing best practices.
  • Updating and maintaining process flows, P&IDs, and engineering standards.
  • Defining, acquiring, installing, and starting up equipment for commercialization.

Qualifications:

Education:
4-year degree in a relevant field such as science or engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in operations, project management, process design, and contractor supervision within a process environment.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with complex projects, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of engineering disciplines, plant operations, and construction.
  • Willingness to travel for project-related meetings.
