Job Overview

Faith Chapel Learning Academy is in search of a dedicated individual who possesses a genuine enthusiasm for nurturing and educating infants. We are currently looking for an educator to join our infant classroom, contributing to our mission of fostering a supportive and enriching environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and develop children's growth by designing and executing a comprehensive educational program that ensures a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Encourage emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social development by creating and leading engaging educational activities tailored to the specific needs of your class.
  • Maintain a secure environment by ensuring a tidy, organized, and visually appealing classroom; proactively addressing safety concerns and adhering to established standards and regulations.
  • Promote student engagement through interactive and stimulating activities.
  • Communicate curriculum details to staff and parents by preparing lesson plans, sharing schedules, and outlining educational objectives.
  • Keep parents updated on their child's development and any emerging concerns through regular reports and meetings; maintain comprehensive records of each child's progress and behavior.
  • Support the development of self-regulation in students by applying effective classroom management strategies and modeling appropriate behaviors.
  • Ensure consistent communication with parents and staff to maintain a cohesive educational experience. Manage classroom resources and supplies, following operational guidelines and conducting regular inventory checks.
  • Stay informed on educational best practices by engaging in professional development opportunities, reading relevant literature, and participating in educational organizations.
  • Enhance the reputation of the academy and the church by taking initiative in fulfilling new requests and seeking opportunities to contribute positively to the educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A minimum of 12-semester units in early childhood education from an accredited institution, covering Child Growth and Development, Child-Family and Community, Program-Curriculum, and Infant Toddler.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of prior experience in early childhood education is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is essential.
  • Current TB test results are required.
  • Fingerprint clearance is mandatory.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour
