Position Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in cultivating partnerships with assigned departments to provide valuable services to management and staff, aligning with the strategic objectives of Spring Venture Group. The HRBP acts as a consultant to leadership, collaborating to devise innovative solutions aimed at employee growth and retention. This role serves as the primary connection between HR and departmental leaders, ensuring effective communication and implementation of HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with management and staff to enhance workplace dynamics, boost morale, and improve retention rates. Work alongside managers to create actionable plans that promote employee engagement, reflecting SVG's core values of Accountability, Authenticity, and Innovation.
  • Implement HR programs and initiatives, including succession planning, engagement surveys, talent assessments, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular consultations with department leaders to address HR matters.
  • Provide HR guidance to leadership, ensuring effective management practices.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR team to formulate solutions and policies.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and offering resolution recommendations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements impacting employee management, minimizing legal risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Advise on performance management strategies, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Support departmental reorganizations and workforce planning efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with various HR sub-teams (Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Learning and Development, Compensation & Benefits) as well as other departments like Technology, Finance, and Payroll.
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of HR programs to ensure effectiveness.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation to employees.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR Generalist or HRBP roles.
  • Proven experience in resolving employee relations challenges, performance management, and leadership coaching.
  • Ability to understand the organization's structure, roles, qualifications, and compensation practices.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC.
  • Familiarity with enterprise HRIS solutions and data analytics; experience with Workday is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
