Job Summary:

As a Case Support Specialist at Bethany, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Case Support Specialist. In this role, you will assist Case Managers with documentation, client contact, and foster parent contact processes. You will also provide case management services, including social work, counseling, and treatment of clients, and coordinate community referrals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Case Managers with essential paperwork and documentation, including green card applications, funding requests, and school enrollment and registration.
  • Provide case management services, including social work, counseling, and treatment of clients, and coordinate community referrals.
  • Ensure the child's safety while in care.
  • Attend and be prepared for all court hearings that occur on assigned cases.
  • Maintain collateral contact with organizations, such as schools, to receive information and case updates.
  • Assist Case Managers in maintaining client contact for case follow-up or intervention, as requested.
  • Collaborate with direct supervisor to schedule and prioritize work duties.
  • Attend training as required by supervisor, including MDHHS Child Welfare Training Institute.
  • Administer case notes and documentation within the respective program's client portal in a timely manner based on guidelines and procedures set forth.
  • Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's level degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field of study from an accredited college.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology of Human Service as acquired through a Bachelor's level degree.
  • Bi-lingual English and a second language preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit an ability to apply the principles of logic and critical thinking with problem solving.
  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
  • Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks.
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality.
  • Work well under pressure and adaptable to change.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany.
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage.
  • Documentation of immunity to vaccine preventable diseases or the willingness to receive vaccination, or seek an exemption.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
