About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fabrication Department Manager to join our team at WB Industries. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate with design engineers, machinists, and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary materials, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to fabrication processes or equipment.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of production activities, providing regular reports to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor or in a similar role within a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and precision machining.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in using fabrication equipment and tools.
