Fabrication Department Manager

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our fabrication department, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all operations. As a key member of our team, you will manage daily operations, coordinate with design engineers and machinists, and implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design engineers, machinists, and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to fabrication processes or equipment.
• Promote continuous improvement of processes and maintain accurate records of production activities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor or in a similar role within a metal fabrication environment. You should have a strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding techniques, and precision machining. Excellent leadership and team management skills are essential, along with knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices. You should be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills and proficiency in using fabrication equipment and tools are required. Additional technical certifications or training are preferred.
