Merric Millwork & Seating is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning and execution of specific projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and engineers to ensure all project documents, materials, and production documents are accurate and reflective of customer expectations and company policies.
  • Participate in project hand-off meetings to review project steps and identify potential stumbling blocks.
  • Review and manage shop drawings, ensuring they follow contract documents and Merric's fabrication techniques.
  • Manage information flow between project managers, engineers, production, and material managers.
  • Ensure timely processing of documents, including submittals, production orders, and purchase orders.
  • Research products and suppliers, and order materials through the material manager.
  • Work with the plant manager and production planner to resolve technical, specification, quality, and scheduling questions.
  • Ensure accurate review and release of engineering and production packets to the production planner.
  • Familiarize yourself with the manufacturing process, quality, and best practices to produce high-quality products.
  • Maintain a focus on delivering great internal customer service with stakeholders.
  • Regularly inspect items during fabrication on the production floor.

Requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficiency in management software.

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in project management or administrative assistance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in millwork or cabinet making.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Safely walking the production floor to verify project status.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
