Scope of Work:


The Proposal Management Specialist plays a crucial role within the business development team, facilitating the preparation and support of the proposal group in crafting responses to government solicitations.

This role demands exceptional written communication abilities, proficiency in formatting and proofreading, adeptness in planning and managing timelines, and the capacity to thrive in a high-pressure environment.


Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and interpret proposal requirements.

2. Assist in developing compliance matrices and proposal frameworks.

3. Support the review process to ensure adherence to solicitation requirements.

4. Maintain the opportunity tracking database.

5. Provide writing, editing, and standardization of content for clarity and style.

6. Organize logistics and meetings for the proposal lead.

7. Deliver desktop publishing for review documents and final submissions.

8. Compile materials for evaluations and oversee production tasks.

9. Coordinate necessary resources and contract requirements.

10. Gather and research data for proposal authors.

11. Review documents meticulously for compliance.

12. Assist the Proposal Manager in adhering to timelines and monitoring deadlines.

13. Ensure impeccable spelling and grammar throughout documentation.

14. Exhibit superior communication and customer service skills with stakeholders.

15. Contribute to the development of Sources Sought, Requests for Information, and white papers.

16. Foster effective communication within the proposal team.

17. Support business development initiatives, including research and tracking of potential opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, English, or a related field.

2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in coordinating proposals or similar documents for the Federal government.

3. Experience in base and/or facilities operations is preferred.

4. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

5. Familiarity with and GovWin is advantageous.

6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

7. Ability to collaborate within a team and meet tight deadlines.

8. Capacity to establish schedules for proposal efforts and keep the team aligned.

9. Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

11. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) are a plus.

12. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
