Job Summary

The Arkansas Government Job is seeking a highly skilled Program Licensing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating community-based programs for licensure approval or renewal.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical assistance and licensure standards for proposed and existing community-based programs serving the developmentally disabled.
  • Evaluates proposed and existing programs by conducting on-site inspections of facilities and operations and submitting evaluation reports to supervisor.
  • Covers frequent in-state travel as required.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have the formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, or a related field, plus one year of experience working with human service programs, conducting research and inspections, or a related field.

A valid Arkansas driver's license is also required.
