We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Forestry Management Specialist to join our team at the Arkansas Department of Agriculture. This role offers a competitive salary range of $40,340.00 - $58,493.00 and is located in Little Rock, AR.

As a Senior Forestry Management Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising staff and managing and protecting the forests of assigned counties or multi-county areas. This position requires a strong understanding of forest management practices and techniques, as well as knowledge of federal and state forestry programs available for forest landowners, communities, and fire departments.

You will have the opportunity to plan and coordinate work activities, monitor performance of subordinates, and prepare and make public presentations and conduct forestry training. Additionally, you will be able to collect data, analyze needs assessments, and prepare written forest management recommendations for private and public forest landowners.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a bachelor's degree in forestry from a university accredited by the Society of American Foresters or in a related field. You must also be licensed as a Registered Forester by the State Board of Registration for Foresters in accordance with ACA 17-31-302 or be able to obtain registration within one year of employment.
