At University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, we are seeking a skilled Intensive Care Specialist to join our team. This role will require collaboration with attending physicians and residents to ensure continuity of care to Cardiovascular and Surgical Intensive Care patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating health care treatments.
- Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's Degree in nursing or a related field, with Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Certification. APRNs must be licensed Registered Nurses in Arkansas and hold APRN License, while PAs must have Certification through NCCPA and a graduate degree from an accredited program. Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire.
- Work Environment:
This role requires constant physical activity, including hearing, reading, concentrating, and thinking analytically. Frequent physical activity may involve standing, while occasional physical activity may involve bending, sitting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, stooping, or reaching overhead. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights of 11-25 pounds or more, and 100 pounds or more, respectively, is also essential. Color discrimination, depth perception, far visual acuity, near visual acuity, and other visual requirements are necessary for this position.
