Job Overview

The Arkansas Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled Nursing Program Coordinator to develop, implement, and monitor specialized nursing programs. This role involves researching existing programs, trends, and practices to inform new proposals and revisions. The successful candidate will also evaluate clinical and staff activities to assess training needs, plan curriculum, and disseminate laws and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement specialized nursing programs by researching existing programs, trends, and practices
  • Evaluate clinical and staff activities to assess training needs
  • Plan and prepare training curriculum, informational materials, and training program evaluation
  • Disseminate and interpret laws, policies, and procedures governing specialized nursing programs
  • Research legal and medical impact of unusual health care situations and nursing staff responsibility
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience in nursing, including two years of supervisory experience as a nurse in public health. A valid Registered Nurse license from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing is also required.
