Strategic Procurement Specialist

Overview:
Quartz is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join its legal team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, from preparation of administrative plans to contract administration and vendor management.

- Primary resource and subject matter expert in all phases of the procurement process.
- Coordinates efforts of the vendor management team and assists business owners in their decision-making process.
- Collaborates with business owners to determine appropriate procurement approaches that meet business needs.
- Gathers business requirements and identifies potential third-party vendors.
- Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
- Evaluates proposals/quotes based on quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers.
- Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identifies opportunities for reduction in costs and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Liaison between vendors and internal departments to ensure effective communication.
- Main contact for third-party vendors, including negotiating priorities and necessary changes.
Suitable candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in project management, contract, or procurement. Alternatively, an associate's degree with 7+ years of experience or a high school diploma with 10+ years of experience in a related field can also be considered.
This role can be performed from our Madison, WI office or remotely.
