Job DescriptionThis job description outlines the key responsibilities and qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). If you are a motivated and compassionate nurse looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
- 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification are required.
