Job SummaryWe are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. As a member of our critical care unit, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing critical illnesses requiring admission to the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care and make decisions that impact patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice.
- Delegate tasks effectively based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
- Coordinate unit operations, including staffing and scheduling.
- 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Previous critical care or cardiac cath lab experience preferred in a hospital setting.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification required.
- Paid time off and holidays.
- Competitive salary: $83,000 - $112,000 per year, depending on experience.
