We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Process Engineering Specialist to enhance our expanding Process Department.


In this position, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of manufacturing processes and utility systems, spanning from developmental pilot plants to comprehensive commercial production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop conceptual design outputs, including Process Flow Diagrams and Material and Energy Balances.
  • Assess utility needs for new manufacturing processes and design utility generation and distribution systems.
  • Create Process P&IDs (preferably using AutoCAD) that incorporate control strategies and CIP/SIP functions as necessary.
  • Design P&IDs for essential utility systems, such as WFI, USP Purified Water, and Clean Steam.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations for the expansion, enhancement, or automation of existing facilities with minimal oversight.
  • Generate specifications and performance data sheets for process equipment and instrumentation.


Utilize and contribute to the development of company design and production tools, including process simulation and intelligent P&IDs.


Take ownership of the process-related components of a segment of a large project or an entire smaller project, providing technical guidance to the design team.

Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients and members of the IPS design team.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in process design, ideally within the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology sectors.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with cGMPs as they pertain to process design and equipment specifications.
  • Willingness to travel based on project requirements. This role is designated as safety-sensitive.

The employee will engage in fieldwork and participate in activities at client sites, including construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other operational areas.
