About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Piping Designer to join our Process Piping Department at IPS-Integrated Project Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for complex pharmaceutical and biotech research and manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop piping systems for GMP process and clean utility systems
  • Prepare piping and equipment arrangement drawings in 3D models and 2D layouts
  • Select and specify piping components, including GMP valves, fittings, flanges, and pipe supports
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary information for design completion
  • Produce piping plans, equipment layouts, section layouts, and other 2D drawings for deliverables
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of designs, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve clashes and apply comments
  • Contribute to annual performance reviews for assigned staff, if applicable, and provide developmental support
Requirements
  • 15 years of previous design experience
  • Technical or Associate Degree from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering design areas of Mechanical
  • Proven experience with Piping Design software, including Plant 3D
  • Knowledge of piping systems design for GMP process and clean utility systems
  • Experience with generating piping isometric drawings and production
  • Experience with Autodesk Navisworks and BIM 360
