Hotel Front Desk Agent Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team at Indus Hospitality Group. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register guests, assigning rooms and providing information about hotel amenities and services.
  • Answer and respond to guest inquiries, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process payments, handle room charges, and maintain accurate records.
  • Make and confirm reservations, monitor room availability, and block rooms as needed.
  • Provide information about local attractions, restaurants, and services, and assist guests with directions and recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby, front entrance, and surrounding areas.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Internet navigation and Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
