Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated professional to join our accounting team. This role involves applying accounting principles to evaluate financial data and prepare comprehensive financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards while maintaining robust accounting controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Oversee the company vehicle and employee purchase programs.
  • Handle fixed asset accounting, including responsibilities related to monthly financial closures, reconciliations, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Process inter-company transactions and reconcile balances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, offering insights into financial performance.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies to ensure precise financial reporting.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by adhering to established policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support tax accountants by compiling and exporting necessary data and documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities for fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Address inquiries from management regarding financial matters.
  • Identify inefficiencies in processes and contribute to enhancements for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain customer and supplier master data.
  • Participate in financial audits, collaborating with external auditors and providing required information.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects related to financial analysis and process improvements.

Qualifications

Educational Background

Associate's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

0-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly in accounts payable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
