Job Title: Project Manager III

We're seeking a highly skilled Project Manager III to join our team at Expeditors. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach teams in Agile methodologies and lead self-organization to deliver quality working software with predictability, efficiency, and velocity.
  • Facilitate and conduct team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, iteration review, and iteration retrospective.
  • Provide metrics for the team and ART, including capacity, planned/actual velocity, and story point burn down.
  • Remove impediments and provide visibility and/or escalation to leadership.
  • Foster a positive and productive environment within the Agile team.
  • Monitor sprint/iteration work closely, proactively manage dependencies, and ensure committed work is delivered on time.
  • Keep team organized and focused.
  • Promote a mindset and focus on relentless and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and activities, particularly Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Continuous learner; receptive to feedback, with a desire for improvement.
  • Experienced problem solver, strong collaborator, and able to provide organization and clarity around complex topics.
  • Assertive personality, interpersonal, action, and outcome-driven mentality.
  • Ability to actively inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate.
  • Well-organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully navigate and execute within ambiguous and stressful situations.
  • Strong communication and execution capabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in related field (i.e., project management, software development, IS or Agile leadership, etc.).
  • 3+ years Project Management or Scrum Master experience.
  • SAFe Scrum Master certification or similar.
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams to deliver results with tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of the transportation/logistics industry.
