Assistant Entitlement Coordinator

Job Summary:

Sheetz, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Entitlement Coordinator to join our team. As an Assistant Entitlement Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the land development entitlement process, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained for the construction of new stores, car washes, rebuild stores, and remodel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Permit Acquisition: Review and interpret jurisdictional ordinances to identify site feasibility concerns, provide preliminary development cost estimates, and project schedules.
  • Project Coordination: Facilitate project permit applications with internal and external stakeholders, including project completion documentation with state and local government agencies.
  • Site Plan Review: Coordinate review of Site Plans with internal Real Estate and Engineering departments to ensure optimal layouts for Sheetz comply with state and local requirements.
  • Engineering Challenges: Identify engineering challenges related to entitlements and recommend engineering-related changes while coordinating with the internal Engineering department.
  • Design Coordination: Coordinate with internal design teams throughout the submission and review process to obtain municipal-specific preliminary architectural, mechanical, petroleum, and signage design plans.
  • Utility Coordination: Coordinate site utility relocations and services with local private/public utility companies and the Sheetz Civil Engineering Department.
  • Public Meetings: Attend public municipal and governmental agency meetings with the Entitlement Manager and/or Real Estate Team.
  • Project Support: Assist Construction Project Managers throughout the bidding and construction phases as required.
  • Project Record Keeping: Maintain critical project records using Project Management software through coordination with internal teams on project bonding, payment of project fees, and required documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience in Engineering, Real Estate Land Development, Construction, or related field required. Minimum 2 years of Site Land Development Design or Engineering preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Professional Engineer, Landscape Architect, or Project Management Professional License preferred.
