Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our team at WellStar Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide individualized, high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model.
  • Adhere to the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing, and evidence-based practice and research.
  • Uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.
  • Support service excellence goals and uphold the voice of the patient and system policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Georgia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Georgia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Current BLS card from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Experience: National certification in area of specialty preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Direct patient care experience.
  • Minimum Skills: Fluency in English language and basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively.
  • Excellent time management, evidence-based, and analytical skills.
