Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team at IASIS Healthcare. As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient scheduling, referrals, and authorizations for diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient scheduling for tests, specialty physician referrals, and diagnostic or outpatient treatments/procedures
  • Maintain and document all referral activity in patient medical records
  • Obtain patient authorizations and insurance plan approvals prior to completing referrals
  • Manage authorization records for procedures/treatments performed in the office
  • Assist with other office functions as needed, including filing and front desk support

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of health plan requirements for patient referrals
  • Typing and computer skills preferred
