Global Sales Manager Digital & Software
Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will have the chance to formulate an effective digital sales strategy for a specific business area/division/product group within the designated market scope (global/regional) and maintain it, enhancing ABB's market presence. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of the sales strategy to meet both qualitative and quantitative sales objectives for products, systems, and/or services, ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also demonstrate your expertise by guiding, developing, and mentoring the Sales organization (including other Sales Managers and Specialists within your scope) to achieve sales targets while maintaining high performance. The work model for this role is hybrid. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Engaging in the negotiation of key/strategic contracts.
• Identifying, monitoring, and maintaining/exceeding sales market price levels, after assessing the pricing impact on results with the Product Management team.
• Supporting local Sales organizations to ensure the achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.
• Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
• Identifying and managing potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing sales processes and tools, along with related training and development activities.
• Ensuring compliance with all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope.
• Upholding integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope.
• Being accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and driving continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in channel management, sales, or business development.
- Proven track record of managing sales channels and partner relationships.
- Strong ability to drive sales through channels, negotiate terms, and close deals.
- Excellent skills in building and maintaining relationships with partners and distributors.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for channel growth and development.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, channel performance, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Advanced English.
