Position Overview:
The Front Desk Representative plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to guests before their arrival and throughout their stay. This position is vital in maximizing room revenue through the promotion of upgrades and guest amenities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.
- Implement and uphold all core values and standards of the organization.
- Participate in the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor operational effectiveness and suggest improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and applicable laws.
- Deliver a high level of service consistently.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy, special events, and in-house groups.
- Process guest accounts accurately during check-out.
- Handle cash and perform account postings with precision.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance industry knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; hospitality education or experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Opera is a plus.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to perform essential functions, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
