Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Functional Neurosurgeon to join our esteemed team at the Department of Neurosurgery. This full-time faculty position involves providing patient care, engaging in medical education, and conducting research in a collaborative academic setting.

Estimated Salary Range

$400,000 - $600,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical: Provide comprehensive care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to develop expertise in adult/general neurosurgery.
  • Teaching: Educate medical students, neurosurgery residents, and fellows in a dynamic learning environment.
  • Research: Conduct cutting-edge research and clinical trials in functional neurosurgery, collaborating with other PIs, learners, and students.
  • Service: Participate in departmental, school, and university committees, as well as professional organizations in the field.
Requirements:
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurosurgery (BC/BE)
  • Fellowship training in functional neurosurgery
  • Proven clinical experience
  • Valid license to practice medicine in Virginia
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competency in general/adult neurosurgery
