About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Ophthalmologist, Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery specialist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians in Richmond, VA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supervision in three outpatient settings. Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills are required. We support a 16 resident ophthalmology training program with ACGME Accreditation.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high clinical and ethical standards in decision-making processes and compliance measures.
  • Establish and promote a collaborative practice and effective communication among all staff disciplines.
  • Foster a high level of patient and staff satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology with ASOPRS Fellowship training.
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.
  • Demonstrate expertise working in a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commit to fostering one as a faculty member at VCU.
Salary and Benefits

Competitive market-based salary offered through Physician Practice Group compensation plan. Appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience. The position also offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic academic environment.
