About DuPont: At DuPont, we focus on impactful innovations; whether it’s ensuring clean water for over a billion individuals globally, creating materials vital for everyday technology from smartphones to electric vehicles, or safeguarding workers worldwide.

Why Choose Us? We are a premier multi-industrial organization dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions that provide genuine purpose and value. Our collaborative culture thrives on teamwork and values diverse perspectives.

We are thrilled to announce our strategic plans to evolve into three independent, publicly traded companies, enhancing our ability to serve customers and maximize stakeholder value. This transition will be managed thoughtfully to support our employees throughout the process.

Your Role: We are seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to contribute to our Manufacturing Technology (MT) team, which supports the Healthcare and Specialty Lubricants (HSL) sectors within DuPont Electronics & Industrial (E&I) Industrial Solutions.

The MT team is responsible for the process technology essential for the comprehensive manufacturing of products at our facilities. Collaborating across various functions—including integrated operations, quality, EH&S, R&D, TS&D, commercial, marketing, and supply chain—the MT team aims to achieve project objectives aligned with site and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Respond promptly to plant issues and emergencies, acting as a technical expert during unforeseen events and driving effective corrective and preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with specialists to conduct advanced troubleshooting and enhance operational discipline, leading root cause analyses of asset utilization losses.
  • Ensure optimal process utilization to enhance plant performance, proposing and implementing performance improvements.
  • Participate in new product commercialization projects, representing manufacturing in early phases through to commercialization, ensuring safe and efficient processes are transitioned to operations.
  • Lead technical reviews for manufacturing process modifications, serving as an engineering resource for trials and scale-up efforts.
  • Oversee technology planning and data development for capital projects, potentially leading smaller projects and guiding startup efforts following best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process engineering or a similar area.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive in advancing projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of process control and statistical process control techniques.
  • Familiarity with silicone chemistry, mixing, and extrusion processes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) or Lean certification.
  • Experience in new product commercialization and scale-up processes.
  • Understanding of Process Safety and process hazard analysis.
