Position Overview:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for our manufacturing operations. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing inventory levels while maintaining high standards of quality and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Global Supply Management (GSM) team to develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with plant objectives.
2. Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and terms, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
3. Conduct commodity reviews and supply intelligence assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
4. Work closely with the Planning team to monitor supplier capacity and mitigate any risks of material shortages.
5. Utilize SAP S4 for creating purchase requisitions and managing supplier accounts payable to resolve invoicing issues promptly.
6. Oversee inventory management by organizing and minimizing materials on hand, including slow-moving and obsolete items.
7. Participate in cross-functional teams focused on enhancing processes, reducing costs, and resolving supply chain challenges.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- High initiative and motivation, capable of thriving in a matrix environment or cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP S4.
- Experience in negotiation, purchasing, or commodity management.
- Project management experience and relevant certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) are advantageous.

Travel Requirements:

- Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits, quality resolutions, and training purposes.
