Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager for our Endoscopy department. The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and have prior leadership experience in an endoscopy setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the department, overseeing daily operations and managing departmental staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process effectively.
  • Ensure that patient care is delivered with the utmost quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited institution is required. For clinical manager roles in Magnet-designated hospitals, a Bachelor of Nursing is mandatory at the time of hire or promotion.

Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas nursing license or a temporary/compact license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support is essential, and professional certification in the clinical area or management is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in the clinical area, with at least one year in a supervisory or management capacity is required. Additional experience may be necessary for higher-level positions.

  • Manage daily operations of the patient care department, ensuring adequate staffing and continuity of care.
  • Engage with physicians, management, and other stakeholders to address strategic initiatives and organizational objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing evaluations of programs and processes to improve client-centered outcomes.
  • Ensure that all services meet established standards, optimizing the patient experience throughout their care journey.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop staff, providing performance feedback and addressing any issues as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of safety for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Encourage professional growth by supporting continuing education and skills competency.
  • Model the organization's service standards by delivering safe, compassionate, and personalized experiences.
