Job Summary

As a Medical Records Clerk at Equus Workforce Solutions, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. Your primary responsibility will be to schedule entrance physical examinations within designated time frames and track client compliance. You will also be responsible for compiling and distributing medical appointment passes, completing procedures for client accountability and attendance, and compiling data from Medical and Dental staff to prepare required monthly and quarterly reports. Additionally, you will type and process client medical separation packets and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule entrance physical examinations within designated time frames
  • Schedule and/or track appointments for all medical services
  • Track client compliance and notify appropriate staff of failed appointments
  • Compile and distribute medical appointment passes; complete procedures for client accountability and attendance
  • Compile data from Medical and Dental staff to prepare required monthly and quarterly reports; distribute accordingly
  • Type miscellaneous memorandum, letters, and other documents as assigned
  • Review and terminate client active medical records based on Daily Separation List
  • Type and process client medical separation packets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma. One-year certificate in a clerical related field from a college or technical school preferred
  • One year certificate from a college or technical school
  • Three to six months of related experience is required, as well as some knowledge and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typing skills and some knowledge of medical terminology is necessary
