Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will oversee the ANSI Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) product line. You will manage the product offering throughout its lifecycle, aligning with market demands and business strategy. You will be responsible for the long-term profitable growth of the offering. Your contributions will support business outcomes by managing each phase of the offering lifecycle, including development, launch, go-to-market strategies, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. This is a hybrid role, and candidates should ideally be located in designated areas. Relocation assistance will be available. This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in the United States. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Conducting market intelligence analysis to identify potential gaps in the portfolio, considering competition and new market opportunities for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). Understand and define current market segmentation and related offering positioning, including relevant regulations and standards, particularly those related to sustainability.
• Owning technical and market specifications for the offering and formulating a business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to maximize value, and monitoring portfolio performance.
• Leading the offering lifecycle management process, analyzing current offerings, defining and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions regarding offer obsolescence and end-of-life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize profitability.
• Setting targets, monitoring offering costs, and providing insights to operational functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to enhance competitiveness and profitability.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Over two years of experience in an industrial setting in engineering, product marketing, sales, or product management roles.
  • Basic understanding of power distribution products, particularly medium voltage switchgear.
  • Familiarity with gas insulated switchgear construction and applications, and differentiation from air insulated switchgear.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, including internationally.
