Optometrist - Comprehensive Eye Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our comprehensive eye care team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.
Responsibilities- Provide primary vision care, including comprehensive vision testing, diagnostics, emergency care, and disease management.
- Work collaboratively with Ophthalmologists to provide expert care and referrals.
- Participate in a dynamic team of eye care professionals, including 7 Optometrists and 9 Ophthalmologists.
- Contribute to the strength of our Team Medicine approach to collaborative medicine.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Optometry.
- Residency training preferred.
- 3+ years' experience working in a group practice, preferably with Ophthalmologists and exposure to medically complex patient populations.
- Ability to obtain a professional optometrist license in the state of Washington.
- NBEO, The National Board of Examiners of Optometry, required.
- Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority for specific practice.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with eye care software.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures, processes, and policies.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible with busy, urgent practice needs.
