Job Title: Assistant Manager Residential Supports

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Residential Supports is a key member of the Residential Services team, responsible for providing hands-on supervision and support to direct care staff within the residential site. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and supporting direct care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to individuals in the residential site.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan, design, and implement client-based activities and services.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation, including house logs, client charts, and incident reports.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating client transportation and activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development and growth.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of direct care experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be bondable and maintain professional conduct and image.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written form.
  • Must be able to lift weight and assist with client transfers as needed.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and prioritize competing activities and deadlines.
  • Must maintain O.I.S. certification and participate in CPR and First Aid Certification training within thirty days of employment.

Working Conditions:

This position operates out of the Residential Services Department, under the direction of the Residential Program Manager. The Assistant Manager Residential Supports will have contact with clients, families, and other stakeholders, and must maintain a professional image at all times.
