We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Account Manager to join our team at Simpson Strong-Tie Company, Inc. as a Residential Sales Representative. This is a full-time, exempt position located in the Southern Oregon or Northern California territory.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with current and prospective customers to build relationships, demonstrate and explain product features and benefits, present new retail program offerings, provide samples, and procure orders.
- Provide exceptional customer support to resolve problems, provide ongoing support and training as needed.
- Build, maintain and reset customer product displays as needed, including literature and signage.
- Support territory initiatives to ensure that all efforts are in alignment and support of company, branch, and territory goals.
- Promote Simpson Strong-Tie as an industry partner and potential employer; participate in trade shows, association meetings and various committees and/or causes; provide educational opportunities in classroom settings throughout your territory to various audiences which could include suppliers, specifiers, building officials, contractors, and homeowners.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of industry experience and/or training. Working knowledge of residential construction practices and distribution channels preferred. Sales and account management experience with a proven track record of sales/profit growth preferred.
- Technical: Have the ability to gain product knowledge in order to become a trusted resource for Simpson Products and solutions as well as working with Specialists to provide support as needed.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and present captivating presentations and incorporate sales skills to step a prospect through a story.
- Creative & Innovative Thinking: Ability to exhibit creativity and innovation when contributing to organizational and individual objectives.
- Decision Making & Judgement: Ability to balance analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions.

TravelThis position requires domestic travel up to 40% of the time.
Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time, exempt position offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $60,500 - $86,600 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, employee stock purchase and bonus plans, pay for holidays, vacation, sick days, funerals and jury duty, years of service awards, employee discounts, employee referral bonuses, charitable contribution matching, education reimbursement and more.
