Job Title: Law Clerk/Admin

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Law Clerk/Admin to join our team at Rosenberg & Hite, LLC. This role will play a critical part in supporting our legal team with case preparation, document management, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on the progress of their case.
    • Conduct initial client interviews to gather essential information about the injury, accident details, and medical treatment.
    • Provide clients with timely and accurate information throughout the legal process.
  • Case Management:
    • Maintain accurate and organized case files, both physical and electronic.
    • Organize, analyze, and manage all case-related documents, including medical records, police reports, witness statements, and insurance correspondence.
    • Ensure timely submissions and filings, tracking deadlines and managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Document Gathering:
    • Collect, organize, and review client documents, such as medical records, accident reports, and expert witness statements.
    • Assist the paralegal in preparing discovery responses and document production.
  • Billing and Administrative Support:
    • Track and record billable hours and expenses related to the case.
    • Assist in managing the firm's personal injury database and case management software.
    • Perform general administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, organizing files, and managing attorney calendars.
Requirements:
  • Attention to Detail: Personal injury cases require meticulous handling of medical records, insurance documents, and legal filings.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties is essential.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Legal Knowledge: Understanding of personal injury law.
  • Empathy: Ability to work with clients experiencing emotional and physical distress due to their injuries.
  • Team Player: Must be adept at multitasking, maintaining confidentiality, and working with a team and independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least one year of previous internship or work experience in a legal setting.
  • Familiarity with Personal Injury Law.

Compensation during the probationary period starts at minimum wage. Upon completion of a three-month performance review, the compensation will be adjusted based on the results of the review.
