Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our team at The Kennedy Collective Inc. This role involves providing support and care to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance to individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist with meal preparation, cleaning, and household chores.
  • Coordinate leisure activities and ensure individuals' medical and dental needs are met.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Program Plans.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to possess a State of CT Public Service License.
  • Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and be able to transport individuals as needed.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the internet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and provide physical intervention as needed.
