Job Title: Accounting Clerk II

ATA Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk II to join our team. This is a full-time position that will provide clerical services to maintain the general ledgers and other accounts of the Hawaii State Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receipts and Disbursements:
    • Receives and counts cash, reconciles cash balance, and ensures balances are correct at the end of each day.
    • Retains all disbursement documents for posting to various accounts and as supporting documents.
    • Prepares cash receipts, tracks receipts for withdrawals, and notifies staff of delinquent receipts.
  • Mileage Processing:
    • Audits all mileage reimbursement requests, verifies accuracy, and reports taxable amounts.
  • Maintaining Subsidiary Ledgers:
    • Posts daily transactions into individual patient trust accounts, cash receipts, cash advances, adjustments, and community reintegration therapy payroll.
    • Prepares trial balances for each daily posting.
  • Front Office Counter Services:
    • Sells numbered meal tickets for special meals to hospital staff and students.
    • Passes out free meal tickets to volunteers or students who sign for them.
Requirements:
  • General knowledge of inventory systems and common business methods, terms, and practices.
  • Practical knowledge of warehouse operations.
Compensation:

Hourly Wage: $21.33
