Circuit Court Clerk II Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Circuit Court Clerk II to join our team at the Hawaii State Judiciary. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining and authoring the official record of every action in a court of general jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine and author the official record of every action in a court of general jurisdiction.
  • Maintain custody of all notices and documents presented in court.
  • Receive and process all exhibits.
  • Direct courtroom procedures of hearings and trials involving complex, contested cases.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • One year of work experience in a court or legal setting, which included the preparation and/or processing of legal forms and documents in court proceedings.
  • Six months of work performed in a courtroom setting with the responsibility of authoring the official permanent record of court proceedings.
