Job Summary:
Gerdau is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in our industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to perform scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
- Assist in assessing circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, adjust, calibrate, program, time, construct, modify, or service electrical and electronic devices and systems.
- Plan and execute working procedures to find material or replacement needs and select a logical approach to trouble shooting and repair problems.
- Assemble, install, inspect, adjust, repair, or replace faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices.
- Use test equipment and hand tools to locate and properly repair equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation.
- Assist in the connection of electrical or electronic equipment for new installations or replacements.
- Perform maintenance tasks on high voltage switch gear, cables, insulators, bushings, and other equipment.
- Utilize computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Certify in fork truck, overhead cranes, man-lifts, and other mobile equipment as required.
- Perform other plant electrical maintenance as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of the Wilton Maintenance Training Program or equivalent maintenance work experience in an industrial environment.
- Passing proficiency tests for various coursework or equivalent experience.
- Open to working rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
