Your role and responsibilities

As a Client Relations Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the Strategic or Key Account Manager, assisting in the sales of Electrical Power Distribution equipment and Control Systems to our major North American Power Utilities and Energy clients. Your involvement will span the entire sales cycle, from the initial request for proposal through to order processing and management, and ongoing status tracking. You will be responsible for fostering positive client relationships and delivering outstanding customer service support. The work model for this role is remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Northeastern region of the U.S. This position contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in the Northeast. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring customer issues are resolved by coordinating with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain Management, and other internal and/or external teams.
• Proposing suitable solutions for client requests and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure comprehensive handling of the request (e.g., production capability and scheduling, resourcing, quotes, price lists, invoices, etc.).
• Keeping clients proactively updated on the status of their issues based on received inputs and addressing their inquiries.
• Preparing and analyzing regular statistics (e.g., forecasts) using available tools, gathering additional relevant information, and monitoring regular sales performance against targets while sharing insights with management.

Qualifications for the role
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales support or customer support, or a non-degreed candidate with 5 or more years of direct experience in sales or customer support for a technical industrial or commercial manufactured product; experience in the Electrical Power Products or Utilities sectors is preferred.
  • Experience with Order Management, Procurement, and Sales Management systems is preferred.
  • Experience in outside sales and/or engaging with prospective clients is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential. Bilingual capabilities are an advantage.
