Role Overview

**Senior Traffic Operations Specialist - Join Our Team**

Are you enthusiastic about Traffic Engineering and eager to make a meaningful impact? The Transportation Division/Traffic Engineering and ITS Business Class at HDR is actively seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Traffic Operations Specialist to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of complex projects with esteemed clients. As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in planning and analyzing traffic operations, contributing to the development of advanced technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Traffic Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing design for various traffic-related initiatives
  • Supporting traffic control and sequencing strategies during project execution
  • Serving as a technical authority in Traffic Engineering with an emphasis on problem-solving and project advancement
  • Leading a team of professionals and technicians
  • Managing projects to ensure their successful delivery
  • Additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
  • PE license
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in ITS and traffic engineering
  • Familiarity with state and federal transportation regulations
  • Expertise in traffic analysis tools and software
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred:
  • MSCE degree
  • California P.E. license
  • PTP certification
  • Experience in toll roads, roadway design, or construction
