Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer Traffic/Operations Analysis to join our traffic engineering group in the LA region. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing planning and analysis expertise for public works and traffic improvement projects, as well as emerging technology-related traffic engineering issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement traffic operations analysis and planning methodologies for freeway and arterial facilities.
  • Work with regional traffic demand models to provide future traffic forecasts.
  • Design and implement Excel worksheets and Visual Basic macros to automate and streamline traffic analysis.
  • Create large-scale simulations for freeway corridors and arterial interchanges using VISSIM, VISTRO, and SYNCHRO/SimTraffic.
  • Analyze and devise congestion relief plans and project mitigations for arterial highways and intersections.
  • Contribute to a broad spectrum of transportation projects, including Local Roadways Safety Plans, Traffic Impact Reports, EIR/EIS technical studies, and Transportation Management Plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Transportation Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in traffic analysis, operations, and traffic engineering.
  • California PE license.
  • Hands-on experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, AIMSUN, VISSIM, and other advanced traffic analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and other software and databases integral to our business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSCE with Transportation emphasis.

The expected compensation range for this position is $121,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.
