Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer Traffic/Operations Analysis to join our traffic engineering group in our LA region offices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in traffic analysis, operations, and engineering, with experience in emerging technology related traffic engineering issues. The primary duties of this senior position include providing planning for the production of traffic operations analysis and oversight of large area traffic analysis as well as emerging technology system planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Excel worksheets and Visual Basic macros to automate and streamline traffic analysis methodologies.
  • Work on a broad spectrum of transportation projects, including traffic impact reports, EIR/EIS technical studies, and transportation management plans.
  • Analyze and devise congestion relief plans and project mitigations for arterial highways and intersections.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Transportation Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in traffic analysis, operations, and traffic engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, AIMSUN, VISSIM, and other advanced traffic analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and other software and databases integral in our business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
